No. Banting Bunny uses portion-based tracking: log meals as Small, Medium, or Large. The adaptive algorithm calibrates what those mean for your body over time.
We recommend once per week. After 7 days, enter your weight and the app automatically adjusts portion values based on your progress and adherence.
They’re adaptive portion values. The app starts with sensible defaults and then calibrates them each week to your metabolism and habits. You keep choosing Small/Medium/Large — the app learns the rest.
No. Water never counts against your daily allowance and the main drink button stays blue to reflect that. Other drinks have medium or large impact depending on type.

The app uses CloudKit. It fetches on open, saves changes with a short debounce during use, and saves immediately on backgrounding. First-time installs can restore existing cloud data or start fresh.
Your daily allowance resets automatically when the date changes. The app also tracks accumulated excess/deficit to inform the weekly calibration.
The algorithm tightens portion values more strongly when adherence was good but progress was in the wrong direction, helping steer you back on track without overcorrecting.
Your data is stored in your iCloud account via CloudKit and synced between your own devices. We don’t send your data to external servers.
Yes. Banting Bunny includes an Apple Watch companion app. You can log food and drinks from your wrist, see your remaining daily allowance, and everything stays in sync with your iPhone via CloudKit (watchOS 8+).
